BLACK & WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT
The Ohio Valley Art League is presenting a Black & White Photography Invitational Exhibit February 25 to April 3, 2014, in the Rotunda Gallery, Henderson County Library, 101 South Main Street, Henderson, KY. Ten Tri State photographers will be showcasing black and white images (both digital and film) in OVAL’s Black and White Exhibit in the Library’s Rotunda Gallery. The work offers a diversity of visions and styles in nature, landscapes, still-life, etc. Classic black and white strips away color and reveals its subjects through lights and shadows, contrasts, shapes, textures, and grayscales. In general, black and white is more about the mood and feel of the image.
Meet the Photographer reception is Thursday, March 6 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The sponsor of the exhibit is Edward Jones, Henderson.
Photographers display artwork in exhibition are:
T. J. Byrd
OVAL is offering a photography workshop, “Smartphoneography”, Saturday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Multipurpose Room, Henderson County Public Library, by Henderson photographer, April Robinson.

April will demonstrate some iPhone apps that will improve the picture taking experience. After the discussion we can go over to Central Park to take photos. April plans to be available to drop in on each participant as they take pictures to answer questions or make suggestions. If time allows perhaps participants can return to the library for a quick slideshow of the photos taken in park. Cost will be $15.
