Grammy Award-Winning Songwriters Return to Henderson for Annual Songwriting Event

More than 30 award-winning songwriters will perform live during the sixth annual Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival. The festival will be held in the evening, from July 29 through August 1, 2015. Each night the songwriters will perform two shows at three venues located in downtown Henderson.

Kerry Kurt Phillips, a native of Henderson, KY and Vincennes, IN will return with his Nashville friends to share the stories behind the hit songs from the radio. The songwriters have had their songs recorded and have performed with artists such as Tim McGraw, Elton John, George Jones, Garth Brooks, ZZ Top, Brad Paisley, Van Halen, George Strait and many more.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit Riverview School, a non-profit agency that provides educational programs, respite care and emotional support for children with special needs.
