Tim Callahan is the author of ten novels, seven in the Kentucky Summers series, which is based loosely on his childhood. This series is being used in many schools and read by both kids and adults. He lives in Ohio with his wife, Charlene. Bring the whole family! Attendees can enter to win a signed copy of a Tim Callahan book!

Remembering Henderson

You are invited to share your memories of the Henderson you remember as a child. We will look at vintage photos, listen to some recorded clips of Henderson’s past and take time to reminiscence about “the good old days.”
Come join the fun as we remember Henderson from the past in photos, audio clips, and video clips.
Maple Candy Christmas

Discover maple magic this winter! Wesselman Nature Society experts will share the homesteading art of maple sugaring. From tap to tabletop and every step in between, participants will learn about the history of maple sugaring and the value of our forest resources. Participants will also enjoy a blind taste test and leave with a collection of maple candy recipes for the holiday season!
Christmastime at the Library

‘Tis the season and the library staff is so excited that Christmas is almost here! This evening will be sure to get you and your family into the holiday spirit as we visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, make a keepsake Christmas craft, prepare reindeer food, enjoy a delicious holiday treat, and complete an indoor story walk of The Night Before Christmas! Don’t forget your cameras and your festive attire! Registration is strongly encouraged.

Author and mother of two, Sarah Honaker, compiled meaningful quotes and feedback from her five-year-old son to write the Inspirational Activity Book, a resource for children during times of loss or other difficult situations. With the Inspirational Activity Book, parents and caregivers can help children understand that feelings matter and positive influences are important. Join Mrs. Honaker and her son, Andrew, as they work through some of the exercises in the Inspirational Activity Book. All of the proceeds from book sales benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital.
