Gallery Assistant Roles & Responsibilities

The Gallery Assistant will serve an important role in daily operations of Gallery 101 at The Depot, opening in Fall 2021. This position reports to the Gallery Curator. The Gallery Assistant is an employee of the Henderson Tourist Commission, working to advance the Gallery 101 space as an asset to both visitors to and residents of Henderson, Kentucky.

Position status: Part-time, 15-25 hours per week
Hourly/salary: Hourly

Regularly Assigned Tasks:
-Greet Gallery 101 & Welcome Center guests and answer phone calls and emails, serving as a positive ambassador for the Henderson community
-Answer questions and assist guests regarding the exhibition on display
-Assist curator with installation and take-downs of rotating exhibitions
-Assist with planning and executing receptions, events, and workshops in Gallery 101 space
-Perform administrative duties as assigned
-Assist with marketing of Gallery 101 and maintain meeting space bookings
-Maintain knowledge of technology used throughout the gallery space
-Maintain order and organization in gallery space
-Ensure cleanliness of gallery space

Other:
-Support efforts of the Henderson Tourist Commission and its partners as determined throughout the year
-Perform other duties as assigned
