Trip Tip: Audubon State Park Hosting Art Exhibits, Children’s Camps and Classes Throughout the Summer

During the rest of this month and all of next month, there is a very nice art exhibit at the John James Audubon Museum. It is called “Inspiring Visions of Spring” by the Six Painted Ladies. The Six Painted Ladies are: Sandy Barry, Cathe Hedgespeth, Jan Frazier, Iris Gentry, Marka Kroeger and Susie Rideout.  The ladies have outdone themselves this year, and if you love art, this is a must see. Free to the public.

Activities vary by age and change weekly. For the latest on these programs you can call the park at 270-826-2247.

On Friday, June 6 Miss Kim will have her Little Rembrandts art class for kids in the 3 to 5 year age bracket. The kids love this outing and are always very proud of what they have produced. This event requires a cost of $5.00 and it is well worth it. A parent needs to be present for each child.  Contact Kim.mcgrew@ky.gov or call 270-827-1893.

Go on out to John James Audubon State park and share some great memories!
