A list of all the famous songwriters can be found here.

Henderson has high hopes for this festival and believes that it will soon become as popular as the W.C. Handy Blues Festival. Along with this festival comes history and honor. Henderson was home to the well known modern day musician Kerry Kurt Phillips. Phillips has contributed greatly to the country music industry and is the writer of famous songs like “Down on the Farm” by Tim McGraw and “almost Home” by Craig Morgan. This festival is a time to celebrate him and other songwriters and encourage the future to songwriters. This festival also honors Sandy Lee Watkins who was a Henderson County Judge/ Executive until he passed away in 2010 while attending a conference for Henderson County.
