For those who love to fish (or know someone who enjoys the hobby) there’s more great news for Henderson, Kentucky! Henderson’s portion of the Ohio River was just named #1 Catfishing River by fishhound.com.
“The Ohio is the largest tributary (by volume) of the Mississippi River and is one of the most storied rivers in the history of America. For anglers, it represents a whiskered paradise with an incomparable ability to kick out a steady parade of world-class catfish.
The stretch near Henderson, Kentucky, is the best this river has to offer. The river here houses several hard twists and bends that create trophy blue-cat holes. The area produced the largest five-fish weight record (210.9 pounds) for the Cabela’s King Kat trail in 2011 and is the top river stretch for consistent numbers of giant-size blue cats.”
