Give Thanks: Participate in the Turkey Trot

Each year runners and walkers gather to participate in the 5K Turkey Trot Race/Walk in downtown Henderson. It’s no irony that the Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning. The 3.1 mile race helps support local charities. What better way to give thanks? Come out and exercise before your fill up with the holiday meals.

This event is sponsored by the Presbyterian Church, located at 100 S. Main St. Registration begins at 8am, and the race begins at 9am. The course starts in beautiful downtown and includes a path along the riverfront. Enjoy refreshments, music and JT, the Trot mascot.

And remember, this is a family event! All ages are welcome to participate. Roller-bladers, skateboarders and cyclists are also invited to join the fun.

You can also join other Turkey Trotters on their Facebook page.
