Depot Community Room Seeks Part-Time Assistant Events Coordinator

The Depot Community Room is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual for a part-time Assistant Events Coordinator position. Will assist with creating and faciliting events, coordinating volunteers for monthly walking tours, marketing, writing press releases and utilizing and growing social media presence. Must enjoy historical research, work well in a team, and be comfortable speaking in front of groups during tours and events. Hours:
Hours for the position are Thursdays and Fridays 10am-4pm, with rotating Wednesdays 10am – 4pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm.

Located in the heart of Henderson, The Depot is a replica of the original train depot built in 1901 and stands as an example of the city’s commitment to preserving the past while embracing the future. Located within The Depot is The Community Room, which houses historical memorabilia and the Henderson County Historical and Genealogical Society.
