Depot Community Room Seeks Handmade Christmas Gifts For December Exhibit

Do you have a favorite homemade Christmas item that is dear to your heart, and was given to you years ago by someone special?

If so, the Depot Community Room, in conjunction with the Henderson County Historical and Genealogical Society, would like to include your prized treasure in the Community Room’s Christmas exhibit this holiday season themed “Christmas Gifts – from loving heart and hands.”

Items should be hand-crafted, preferably by the giver, and could include ornaments, cards, dolls, toys, etc. Items with a personal history or family tradition associated with them will be displayed along with a brief story of how they became such an endearing part of your family’s Christmas story.

Items will be collected now through November 19, with the exhibit scheduled to open Monday, November 26 and continue through December 28.

Please contact the Community Room at 270-830-9707 or email and tell them what you have and why it is special to you. Or visit the offices at 101 N. Water Street, Henderson, Kentucky. The Community Room is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Historical Society is open Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
